Efter en veloverstået sommer – som slet ikke er forbi – skal vi til vinsmagning igen.Vi har modtaget nogle meget spændende vine fra vinimportør Kenneth Visti Larsen. Vi mødes hos formanden og smager og vurderer.

De 7 vine som vi skal smage er:

Peos Unwooded Chardonnay

This unoaked Chardonnay, grown at the family’s Graphite Road vineyard, displays grapefruit and melon aromas. The palate has citrus and lime characters with a clean, persistent finish.

Peos Manjin Chardonnay

A premium oaked chardonnay, aged for 11 months in 100% French Oak barriques, the Manjin boasts peach, melon, nectarine, yoghurt and hazelnut aromas with savoury oak and well balanced fruit on the palate. A powerful and complex wine with tight structure, this superb Chardonnay is closed with Stelvin capsules to ensure consistent quality and cellaring potential and will perfectly compliment Peos Estate’s acclaimed flagship Shiraz, the Four Aces.

Treehouse Chardonnay/Verdelho

Stonefruit aromas of peach and nectarine with subtle tropical fruit nuances. The palate shows soft rich fruit supported by balanced acidity leading to a clean, lingering fruit finish. Suited to early consumption. Serve lightly chilled.

Treehouse Shiraz

Excellent depth of colour, purple/red hues. Intensely perfumed aromatics of white pepper, spice and sweet fruits, reminiscent of blueberry. Subtle earthy undertones and hints of mint add to a very complex nose. The palate displays exceptional fruit, acid, tannin balance with a lingering peppery aftertaste. A wine that is drinking very well now but will gain further complexity with bottle age.

Peos Four Aces Shiraz

The ‘Four Aces’ of Manjimup are a stand of 4 magnificent Karri trees, each nearly half a millennium old, located on Graphite Road not far from the Peos Estate vineyard. This Shiraz shows aromas of cracked pepper, ripe mulberry and vanilla oak characters. The palate is rich and full bodied with blackcurrant and spicy.

Peos Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon has an elegant and complex aroma of ripe berry fruits, cherry with oak influences of cigar box and cedar. The balance is a well balanced and mouth-filling blend of ripe cabernet flavours and quality oak, giving firm tannins.
